Your child’s drawings stay yours. We claim no ownership of them and never will. Everything up to the download is free, so you see the whole finished book before you pay. If the file is not what you expected, ask for a refund within 30 days and you get one.

Who can use this

You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of the child whose drawings you upload. The account is yours. Do not give a child your sign-in link; the product is not designed for them to operate and nothing about it needs them to.

Only upload drawings your own child made, or drawings you otherwise have the right to use.

Who owns the drawings

Your child does, and through them, you. Uploading a drawing to Doodlepedia transfers nothing. We do not become a co-author of the artwork, the finished page, or the book. If we disappeared tomorrow the drawings would still be yours and the PDF you downloaded would still work.

What you let us do

You give us a narrow, temporary permission to store your uploads, send them through the cleanup step, lay them out into pages, and build a PDF. That is the permission to run the product for you, and it covers nothing else. It ends when you delete the file or the account.

We will not use your child’s drawings in advertising, on this website, or in any public place without asking you first and getting a yes in writing. Silence is not a yes.

Paying

Picking a booklet, printing the sheets, uploading photos, the cleanup step, the page layout and every change you make are free. You pay only to download the finished PDF. Prices are shown in US dollars before you are asked for a card, and payment is handled by Stripe.

A one-off booklet is $14. Once paid, that booklet’s PDF is yours to download again for free whenever you like; download links themselves expire after 30 days and you can make a new one from your account at no cost.

Refunds

If the file is not what you expected, email hello@doodlepedia.com within 30 days of paying and we will refund you. You do not have to explain yourself, and you keep the file. This is a book of your child’s drawings, so we are not going to argue with you about it.

The monthly plan

The $9 monthly plan renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; it stops the next charge and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Every book you have already made stays yours and downloadable, with or without a subscription.

We will email you before any price change, and it will never apply to a period you have already paid for.

Cover designs

Generating a cover background is the only action in this product that uses up an allowance, because it is the only one that costs us money per use. Cleanup, layout changes, re-downloads and everything else are unmetered and always will be.

Cover designs do not expire. If a generation fails, it is not counted against you and the allowance comes back on its own.

Fair use

Uploads are limited to 30 per account per day. That is far more than a family needs and low enough to stop the service being used as free image storage.

Do not upload anything unlawful, do not try to break the service or reach another account’s files, and do not resell access. We can suspend an account that does, and if we do, we will tell you why and let you take your files with you.

Printing your book

The PDF is yours. Print it at home, print it at a copy shop, print twenty for the grandparents. We put no restriction on printing your own child’s book, and there is nothing in the file that stops you.

We do not currently sell a printed hardcover. If you joined the waitlist for one, that is an email address held for that single purpose and nothing else.

Ending your account

Press the button on your account page. It deletes everything permanently and cannot be undone, so download anything you want to keep first. See the privacy policy for exactly what is removed.

We may end your account if you break these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice to download your books.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it up and to keep your files safe, but we cannot promise it will never be down and we cannot promise a specific outcome from the cleanup step. A photo taken in the dark, at an angle, of a faint pencil sketch will give a poor result no matter what we do.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Keep your originals. We are a way to preserve drawings, not a replacement for the paper. Do not throw away the drawing because you uploaded it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and email account holders before a material change takes effect.
